There is a reason why you have gotten so offended because this guy's website has a link to an adult site... I wonder why that is.

And don't tell me that it is because you are trying to keep the internet safe for children, because you probably use yahoo, google and msn, and they all have links to adult sites in their databases and I don't see you complaining about them.

I really, really wonder what your secret reason is...

I counted eight(8) offensive advertizments with links on the website. There are two locations, one with one, and one with seven. I am a grandmother in the United States. I don't do any of the stuff you refer to in your post, sayanora, but I do resent that this material is so readilly available to my grandchildren. It deserves to be put in a place where the people who want that sort of stuff can get it, but the kids can't.

For now, this is not a paying position. It is for people that just want to pass on information about where they live, and whats going on. If they have a business in that area, then you are MORE than welcome to plug that business. Or a friends maybe.

I know that a lot of people dont work, but they like to help, and this can be one way that they can. Do an article about a mission that you help with, or maybe something that your neighbors are tyring to put together....

Karyn. This post was to look for people that might be interested in spreading some of the news about South Baja. It turned into something else. The best way to keep your grandchildren from clicking a link that you dont want them to view, is to first make sure they know what they should and should not be looking at. ADULT ENTERTAINMENT is NOT one of the links they should be clicking. Also sit with them and watch them.

I dont think I should have to hid a link like that, because an unsupervised child may click that link. You dont let the 10 year old grand daughter bake by her self do you??? ( Just an example )

Who would allow a minor to have unsupervised access to the Worldwide Web ???

One of the problems with the net, is that the parents say it should be the websites job, and the website owners, Even the ones that are not adult in nature, say that it is the parents job...

If you dont like it, dont click it. NONE of the links on my site are misleading.

First of all I don't care one way another personally about your adult links, but you seem to have riled a lot of Baja people with your links. Don't you think you would be better off at this point in time to get rid of them! your biggest potential audience and contributors are right here and this is a very successful site without adult links that are offensive to many.

No I wont get rid of the links because a few here dont like them. I will keep them. If you dont like me site, please dont visit it again. And while I will agree that this site is a good thing, I have to disagree with you that it is VERY successful. I am not saying that it would be more so if it had adult links. But I can say for sure that if some of the visiotrs did not try and push thier ideals on others, then it may grow more. How many people have left because of that???

I think that someone said that this board has 2900 members. I may be wrong on that, but I know that there are at least 24,000 americans in Roasrito Beach area alone.

I did nothing wrong by asking if any one wanted to contribute an article. I even asked the board owner before I did, and he also reviewed my site.

The people on this board have decided that they are willing to say that a site is bad because it has an adult link on it.,

Well Hide the BIBLE, because it talks about murder, rape, incest, adultry, and the list goes on.

Get your heads out of your butts, and realize that a site is more than a single link.

Quite true, a single link to a site promoting prostution is small item in the overall picture. Let's clarify your policy here- any problem if I were to put a well-written article in your adult section about a business specializing in drug paraphanelia and the stuff to consume in it? How about one that specializes in providing sex with 8-year old boys? I'm sure both services are available in Tijuana, so the articles would be completely on-topic...

--Larry

No they would not be on topic and they would not be allowed, as both are illegal in Mexico. HOWEVER prostitution is NOT illegal.

I really do not understand you people.

You have all lost site of the topic of this thread.

You are content to complain about something, but none of you want to expose some of the wonderful things that go on in southern baja.

QuePasaBaja

I would like to wish you luck on your site, because you sure are going to need it with an attitude such as yours. And I might suggest that the more you try to defend your site is more fodder for the wolves.:O:O:O Oh you might even set a new reply record if you continue.
