Fuel in Puertecitos and Gonzaga Bay
A group of us are planning to ride our dirt bikes from San Felipe down to Gonzaga Bay- maybe as far as Coco's- and back in late November. Wondering
what the status of fuel is at those two locations.
From what I have read the Pemex in Gonzaga is a sometimes open affair at best and I have never seen the Pemex in Puertecitos open???
Ideas, thoughts, suggestions appreciated!

Dont you have someone with a truck, that can haul some, and meet you there??
I would not trust the sataions, if they are on and off like that.

If the Pemex in Gonzaga is closed, Rancho Grande across the street almost always has fuel.

Sure- we could have a chase truck follow us which we have contemplated but you know how things go in Baja- plan for the unexpected.
Bajalou- thanks for the heads up on Rancho Grande!
How long shoud I plan for a chase truck to safely make the 50 mile drive from Puertecitos to Gonzaga? We are really in no hurry- just trying to figure
the logistics.

Puertocitos has no Pemex fuel
Never even consider it.
Zaga has REAL Pemex and Rancho Grande (as prev noted)

many places you can SMOKE the road
if you have a Lowrance GPS I can provide the SF to SI route where I input the "Gotchas" or most of them, anyway. You will need a memory card reader
for your 'puter.

I am sure we can make it from San Felipe to Gonzaga with our desert tanks so if we can be sure fuel is available in Gonzaga we may go without the
chase truck?!?!?

A friend of mine who has lived in Gonzaga for many years came back last week and he remarked that BOTH Alfonsinas Pemex AND Rancho Grande had run out
of fuel when he left.
Nothing is "for sure" in Baja.
