Leaving for Baja 12/23 - 1/3

Hello Eveyone,

My wife and I are leaving from Los Angeles, for Baja early saturday 12/23 morning. We need to be back at work on 1/3.

We would like to spend some time in the Bahia Conception area and La Paz. Please help us plan our itinarary and provide advice on places to see and things to do along the way.

Any advice on hotels and how we should we break up the drive?

Much thanks in advance....

I assume you are hotelling the whole trip ??

If so;
night 1 - Baja Cactus Motel in El Rosario for an easy drive or
Posada Vicente or Malamarino in GN if you want to make it farther.
From there you can make Mulege in one day.

Places to stop;
See the whales from GN or San Ignacio (GN is probably faster for your short trip)
San Ignacio - spring fed river, Mission and more
Santa Rosalia - nice town and great bakery !
Take a cactus hike in Catavinia if you have time.

Once you get to conception, you will probably quit the La Paz trip.
If not, you can also see whales at Puerto Lopez Mateo.
You can make Mulege to La Paz in one day.
