I don't think they were exempt. I think I would have done the same thing if it were me.

Makes sense to me. Well, I guess Saul will need that new restaurant he's building.

DON'T EVEN THINK RAY DID THIS- get real!!!

Ray had an agreeement to keep his restaurant there as an attraction for the new owners plan...at least for the short run. Any idea that he - Ray- would do this is PURE BULLchit. Get real!!! No drama needed here please

Sorry Bruce, Think I must agree with Manzanas.

You may owe Ray an apology. Gotta feel some empathy for a guy who has evidently lost his livelyhood. I mean it is Christmas eve.

Ray: If you want to rebuild, I'm sure half of Posada would support you all the way. Even us "Leisure World" folks still know how to swing a hammer.

Casa

I wasn't suggesting he did anything. Just that if it was torched it was most likely related to the land deal. Just gotta wonder.:?:

Bummer. I've been to Ray's Place many times. One time I bought a baseball cap with the restaurant's name on the front and every time I wear it I think about my baja trips.

What's the eviction/land deal you folks are apeaking about? Don't tell me The Donald is building there too!

What's going to happen to one of my favorite over night / couple days stops?

A pity about Ray's Place..

Ray's Place at Santispac will be missed as a popular watering-hole and eatery.

Ray's Mulege valley business has already received guests - a couple of caravans drove out there some time back. As far as I know, it is open now. It is called....?... something with a Hemmingway flair... from Ray's being a Cuban expat and Hemmingway's history in Cuba.

Guess I'll have to tell Ray's ex about this. I'm sure she will be just devastated.
