Gas in LA Bay?

Just got back from camping near Puerto Escondido and had a great trip. My hubby will be driving home in a couple weeks and was thinking of driving down to LA Bay to check it out since he has never been there. He was wondering what the gas availability situation is in the LA Bay area.

YES! Two places... One (well signed) as you enter town and the other behind 'Casa Diaz' access by driving around the east side of Diaz' or off the dirt road leading to Camp Gecko just past the cemetery. Both at $3/gallon U.S.

Also, at the Highway 1 junction with the L.A. Bay highway are 1-2 vendors taking turns selling gas. There it was $2.80/ gallon U.S.

I have purchased gas from all of the above places and never had any bad gas.

No problemo...

We purchased gas at the Casa Diaz location a week or so ago for our 2002 Honda Odyssey and had no problems. The gas out of the barrel is filtered the price difference to gas elsewhere was hardly noticeable.

The woman and (her son?) were very friendly. We chose this location because no one was around at the other--they were probably picking up gas or something.

You know it really isn't a bad deal as Pemex is over $2/gallon and all these independant dealers haul it 60-100 miles to where it is needed... and unlike Pemex, you can see that you get 5 gallons when you buy 5 gallons! Good photo of the Diaz fuel stop... and a cool bumper sticker too! :tumble:
