Hey Mike .....

I'll drive down there and get you tuned in for a modest time trade, say maybe a plane ride to Spain or something like that. I can leave any time.

You may have a problem with having just AZ and Elevation if you have a multiple LNB dish. You also need the skew(rotation of the dish face)

Does anyone have the settings for Directv for San Felipe?

I think we need to be looking at the canadian service as a second dish to the local Los Angeles direct tv channels we get.

Not sure if Dishnetwork is available in Mulege like it is in Bahia de Los Angeles but,

I receive just about all channels in the bay. I started to write down ALL the channels we receive, just too many to type. Here's a synopsis of what we receive.

140 channels including
CBS
NBC
KTLA
KABC
KCAL
KTTV
KCOP
the above includes all the HBO's and other premium channels
plus 50 Music channels (only listen to a few of them)
plus 28 Hi def channels.
All the above is on Satellite #119 and if I switch to Satellite #110 there are more

We have a standard small/regular size dish that loses some of the channels. Mostly CBS, NBC, KTLA. We get an Error message that says " Signal Loss" usually after 4 pm. I presume there is more impedence as the day cools off and moisture % rises ??

We also have a larger dish that doesn't lose any channels. Not sure of the Metric size but it's about 5 foot and somewhat elyptical. I tried to use a Double LNB but it wouldn't work. so I took the Single LNB off the smaller dish and put it on the Big dish and as Pomp says "Viola!!"

I like most in Loreto have the single lnb, and we are all getting only the local LA channels plus a few others. Once upon a time we got many; now only a couple of starz channels, tbs, tmc and the farmers channel,

If there is some trick to getting more, I would sure like to know it.

Capt. Mike... check out this link. May be of some help.

http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/customer/dishPointer.jsp

More here...

http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/customer/downloadPage.jsp?asse...

It states the following...
"Your DIRECTV Receiver is programmed to give you these coordinates and help point your dish. You'll find this in the on-screen Setup Menu, but because menus vary from system to system, check your owner's manual."

Good Luck,
Bob
