Here is one displayed at the Wet Buzzard Bar at Gypsy's RV Park, San Quintin...

I just replied to your u2u Brian... I will search for how to get one if nobody else comes forward...

In the u2u, I told Brian that the idea behind that sticker is to deter dishonest cops from stopping you for mordida (bribe) money.

Others have reported by putting sindicatura's phone numbers on the back of your driver's license it has the same effect.

I just did a Nomad search and will post some details... first from Les in 2003:
==========================================================

Taped to the back of my drivers license I have a small piece of paper that says

SINDICATURA del GOBIERNO MUNICIPAL
TIJUANA 683-4095
ENSENADA 617-1561

When pulled over in TJ this past January, I handed the license to the cop as I told him I wasn't speeding. He started with his spiel and stopped in mid sentence as he turned over my license and read what was on the back . He then told me I could go.
Sindicatura ,I believe, is like our Internal Affairs for Cops.

====================================================

From LaTijereta in 2005:

I signed up for "SOS" (Support of Sinicatura), and they sent out a package of forms. Included is a list of all fines for various violations, and what should be paid in front of a judge.
The decals they sent for the car was installed before our last trip down. Only instance I had was just north of Loreto when a PFD "highway patrol" turned around and followed me for about 2 miles "right on my bummper". He had to be reading the decal "no alimentamos la corrupcion" He finnaly went around me smiling
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sindicatura

The address to send for package:
SOS
7349 Milliken Ave. #140
Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730

Cost of package is $25, and they ship in (2) weeks.

Note: I am not part of this organization, but I have never supported "corrupcion" with the policia on the hwy.

All very interesting. We have had major discussion within the Locos crew and Tony Tellier has also fielded many inquiries regarding SOS. Has anyone actually called the numbers they give you to find out if there is someone who will help? My opinion is this and its just my opinion. You pay $25 for some fliers and a decal that costs someone $1.25 to produce. What do you actually end up with. Have you become a member of some club or organization that will swoop down from the sky when you are being harrassed by a cop in Mex? I think the best medicine for this problem, and I have used it for decades, is to drive carefully and legally, and when you get grabbed by a perhaps dishonest cop, tell him politely that if he is going to write you a ticket, you will gladly pay the fine at the station or Municipal Palace. This is just what I do and it has worked perfectly and I am a surfer. Boards on the roof are like bees to a flower for a corrupt cop. They're just sure there's an open container or weed being smoked. I have only had one ticket in Mex in 30+ years and I deserved it fully. 70 mph in a posted 60 kph zone passing on a solid yellow line. I was late for a pit assignment and he was hiding in a notch along the road. The Federal cop was polite, professional and amused at us crazy race workers and our perpetual rush to get somewhere. I gave up my lincense and went and payed my fine the following week in TJ, got my license back, payed exactly what I was told it would be and got my name out of the computer base, file cabinet and big ledger at the Federal Police station. It was well worth half a day in TJ with the hilarious Cheech Marin of taxi drivers that drove me around to get er done.

Most Rosarito cops have this badge sewn on their uniforms. Doesn't slow 'em down one bit. :lol:

Makes absolutely no difference. Good cops don't need a reminder. Bad cops could care less.

I'm sorry to be so cynical, but why spend the $25 bucks. If the sticker does anything is is going to deter the cop at or before the stop. The logo is easy to get on line, print it on good photo paper and in my case I carefully taped it to the camper window with clear packaging tape. I doubt it HURTS anything and it just might help. I also put the number on my license.
