I had never heard of him before. Sorry to hear of his passing.
He lived a baja life that we can only dream of. Thank you for sharing.

Enjoyed reading all of the entries about Bud Bernhard again. We were discussing him again last weekend here in Coronado where he lived. He was a big influence many of us here. Under his guidance I climbed both Mt. Whitney and Picacho del Diablo in the mid 1950's. An eccentric mountain man for sure.
