San Diego to Gonzaga Bay to Puertecitos..

Just like my other trips to places that I haven't visit it, it all starts with visuallizing the trip in your head, things you will need stuff that you will required to have down there, like a road recovery kit, spare tire, tools, you guys know the list,we see it here in nomad all the time. You do your research here, how many miles type of terrain, places to go see,and then you fell ready to go.So here is my trip report story.

May 25th.
We leave National city around 3:30 am to round davue with the other 3 cars that will be waiting for us at la Mision beach, totalling 5 cars for this trip,19 people total. At 4:30 we all leave la Mision beach reaching Emsenada like in a hour just to find out that my friends silverado is missing a bolt on the braket that holds the drive shaft, bummer. We have to borrow one from the steepside bars of the same truck, fix it and we where on our way,no check point at Santo tomas we cruise all the way with no problems. We stop to eat at San quintin around 7:50 in a place call Birrieria las tres Palmas, that lady was overwhelmed by so much people at the same time she was happy, you see are group fill all the place. Her and the two girls where bussy triying to feed us,they did a good job.Bought some ice nd on to el Rosario are last stop for gas and what ever we can think of.

At 9;30am we where getting gas and a quick trip to Museo de Dona Anita,my firts time in this place. They have alot of neat things in here, alot history.Jump in the trucks again and we start climbing the hill pass the bridge, all the beauty of this little town just to be obscure by a dreadfull signt,a dumpside just on the side of road.
The desert scenery was a little bit on the dry side,we pass Catavina we didn't stop, arriving at the Gonzaga road entrance around 12:15, 333 miles afther we left San Diego.
air down the tires to accomodate for the road ahead, all 5 cars ready of to Coco's corner our next stop.We almost lost my brother inlaw's truck when he took a turn to fast and almost send the truck flying int o the side of the road, alot loose rocks in this road.be cautious.
One of my to do thinks in my list was to meet Senor Coco, and obtain one of his stickers, but not knowing that both of my goals would not materiallized.Senor Coco wasn't there,he is in Ensenada do to low blood preassure,he will b e back when the weather gets cooler, they run out of stickers and no shirts ither:( so DK do you still vave that Coco's sticker.Well mission acomplished,I sign the log books I left one Baseball cap with our names and hung it my self by all those thongs..Of we where, now this time to reach our biggest feat,Gonzaga Bay.Arriving in this amazing place around 2:35pm 369 miles since we left Natinal city.
Finding Campo beluga was real easy a place that David K recommend it,thaks Dk.check in to the camp just to notice,a sticker in Rafael's truck that read "I support National City Police Department".holy cow this is a small world, when I enquire about the sticker,I was surprised to find out that he had live in my neiborhood some years back.Rafael Diaz is a cool guy,he let me get all 5 cars in 2 palapas so we can be close togheter, and gave me a deal on the camping fees.
My next story will deal with the stay in Beluga, are trip to Punta Final and finally the infamous road to Puertecitos.
Enjoy the pictures.
