Pres. Fox not following tradition

Thought this was an interesting article in the San Diego Union.

http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/mexico/20070602-9999-1n2f...

Vicente Fox... is shaping a new role for himself in a country that expects its former presidents to vanish from public life.

...He promised not to speak publicly or give interviews in Mexico during President Felipe Calderón's first year in office, but hardly a month had passed before Fox broke his vow of silence. When he was chastised for being outspoken, an annoyed Fox told reporters, “They've cut out my tongue.”

..."With the people of Mexico, his star is still quite bright.”

...But members of the political elite... are enraged...

Thanks for this post. I had wondered what had happened to this remarkable man who changed the face of Mexican Politics after seventy five years of one party rule. One can argue about his legacy, but one cannot argue with his role in breaking the legacy of one party rule in Mexico.

He has apparently done a much better job of concealing his Booty than his predecessors and isn't worried about future corruption investigation.

Some say Fox is hurting Calderón's presidency by refusing to step aside.

So, it's like Mexico now has three presidents.
