I went and saw Baja Bob's slide presentation tonight at REI. It was very interesting to see all the pictures of the expedition in the Dolores to San Evaristo area of the Giganta sierra we have read so much about, including the seasonal lake in Valle Kakiwi, above Los Burros, filled by the hurricanes higher than ever in the last 15 years. Another seasonal lake is Valle el Venado above San Evaristo.

Anyway the slides were beautiful and Bob Vinton's presentation was excellent. Interesting to see was Carolina of the Bahia de los Angeles museum, who was the expedition's cook.

You have one more opportunity to see the expedition slides and that is tomorrow night (2-20) at the Otto center, next to the an Diego Zoo's entrance at 7:30.

Oh, on my way home tonight a car pulled up next to me and asked if I was David K! Yup, those various Baja stickers on my gold Toyota are a give-away! The light turned green before he gave me his name... So, who are you Baja amigo? Come on over for a cold Pacifico and check out my Baja maps sometime!

Thanks David

Hola David,

Glad to hear that you got to see the show and I saw some of the expedition's photos on the San Diego Natural History Museum website. It was fun to look at them because several of the people, including Carolina, have helped with various projects at the Mulege Museum.

I also really enjoyed your family photos from over the years. What a great flashback on fashion and hairstyles too!!

So, I'll be heading to Mulege in May and can't wait. My friends and I are doing the roadtrip which should be blast.

Take care, Lindsay
