Carnaval La Paz

One of the most fun filled cultural events that I attended last year was La Carnaval La Paz. I found the web page that lists La Carnaval La Paz 2004. If you haven't seen the parade on the last night, you might want to check it out. Tons of great food and a real fun filled family atmosphere. I noticed they stop selling 'off sales' alcohol (beer, wine, hard liquor) in the supermercados etc, at 10:00 at night to curb the potential of rowdiness. A good choice, but you can still buy some suds and drinks at the carnaval stands after 10:00 until just before they close up.

It is well worth the trip to La Paz during La Carnaval.

I've included a photo from last years event. It was dark, but most of the parade photos turned out okay.
