RVING BAJA

Two rigs planning road trip to Baja. One to two months in January. Both fifth wheel trailers. We have traveled in Mexico before but never in an RV. We would appreciate any helpful hints from more seasoned RVers..water, roads, campgrounds, etc!

PS - road are MUCH narrower on "the BAJA". Travel at a reasonable speed and ALWAYS be alert to blind corners (trucks cut these often).
There are NO shoulders on the roads. A tire dropped off the pavement can be a real disaster.
Watch out for concrete culverts tops that protrude almost and sometimes onto the pavement (mostly in the mountain areas).
Be careful, and you will be OK. It's a fun trip. Done twice in a MOTOHO pulling a boat.

There is a book by Walt Peterson titled "Exploring Baja by RV". He rates campgrounds & RV parks but I don't know how up to date it is.

Fred and Gloria have updated their "Rv Camping in Baja" I haven't looked at the new iddition but their old one I used as my 'baja Rv bible' on a 4month trip in my Moho in '97.

If you could be abit more specific in your questions I'm sure many here would be happy to help. Have a great trip. Debra
