Happy new year Tucker.
Lets see now 10% of 10 billion would be about one billion dollars to the national telegraph co. Right?
One thing this piece doesn't mention is that they also give a rotten rate of exchange for incoming dollars so then it becomes quite a bit more than 10% serivece charge. Good business to be in!

I lived in a small farming community in Central California before moving here. One of the dominant signs in town was Western Union's!
