Then, the sequel will have to be, "Ungenuine people of interest" to give her marketable objectivity.

"People of genuine interest" may have worked better. "Genuine People" is elitist, assuming she can sell her values to others. Who is she to say what's genuine? What is genuine?

You guys are a tough audience.

Here is the blurb from our website about the book, which I admit I have not read yet.

What is it like to be a mailman in a town where half the people have no addresses? Imagine the travails of being the town’s only cross-dressing palm tree trimmer? These questions and more prompted Wendy Rains to explore some of the lives of the every day people in her adopted home of Todos Santos.

Originally published as “Encounters of an Underground Milkmaid” in El Calendario from 2004 through 2007, this inspiring collection of interviews reveals much about the charm, humor and dignity of some of the life-long inhabitants of this magical place.

Wendy Rains, Interior and Architectural Designer, lives in the small Baja pueblo of Todos Santos … Wendy (as the Milkmaid) piques the curiosity about the town’s most interesting people; and the popularity of these diverse insights continues to delight many readers from around the world.

What is an Architectural designer? Is that like a Surgery designer?

I have a strong feeling that the minimaly qualified have found a home in BCS, the land of no cultural history or significance.

If you'll promise not to tell PJC, I know a young woman named Snow White, and have a good friend named Knight Starr. Both real names. It's OK, we don't all have to be Bob Jones.

Fantastic life, Ms. Rains = The Architect, Designer, Multiple Construction Projects Manager, Writer, Citizen, Studio 3 Principle.

Sometimes, I think, somehow people in general are inclined to be more prejudiced against rich super successful people as they against those of lower economic status who are impoverished as evidenced by the initial replies.

I wonder if the reprint of 'genuine people of interest' delves into the inter-relationships highlighting racial inequity among disparate economic stratas, while celebrating the dialectical differences between barrios and educated affected sophisticates who pull the town purse-strings.

Interesting, I imagine the complicated nature of 'The Milkmaid" and her vast relationships while she weaves magical prose accentuating positives of intercultural relationships and the tragedies of those who fall between the cracks society, los viejitos jotos, infirmos y madre solteras.... hmmm.

Riveting! I will attend!

Thanks banco........

I went through here site and still can't figure out what she does. She doesn't design, she doesn't build and she has no credentials. She claims no degree from an art institute and claims for no credit for the designs or decoration of the houses in her site.
What does she do?
