RIP: John Archer

I found out today that John Archer from San Diego passed away. He turned me on to Baja in the early 70's on a dirt bike trip I made with my stepfather and their friends. John rode an impeccable BSA Goldstar while the rest of the group rode Triumphs and I at 15 rode a Honda 90. We went from San Felipe to Alfonsina's and back over a long weekend. He quit going to Baja by the late 70's because it had , in his mind, turned to **** by then. He was the original "old school" kind of guy and I will miss him greatly.
