Very nice, Gibby. Actually, the biggest swell of the moment is your head and mouth. Can't you do something about this? It's really bothersome.

Uh oh......gibson is taking on Surfer Jim....136 posts v 1205....well, maybe they go way back, and this is all in fun.......yea, I'm sure that's it...wouldn't want to be stirrin' the 'ole pot, here....you know how those surfers are....oooohhhh, secret spot! and all that.....Swami's was all time yesterday, clean as an ice cold pacifico. Today was bigger, but as bumpy as the road to Alejandros....oh well, can't have it all....

Whoa there, Cowboy - pull back on those reins!

This morning it started building fast and was very big all day, I estimate about 10-12' here as it was passing over the rocks in front and over the blowhole here which needs a good 10'swell. Gorgeous and looks like almost a WSW swell...breaking across the entrance between the island and the point here, more west but a bit of south too and blew southerly much of the day...crazy and impressive.

HUH??? This sounds like one of those Ch 10 news dorks giving the surf report. " today we will see 9 to 36 foot combers along most beaches ."

Come on, have you EVER seen a 34' swell on any shoreline in these parts other than Isla Todos Santos or maybe Harrys, or average surf of 22 feet.

Serious SoCal surf exagerations.

Apologies to my friend Bob Kidd. Hey bro; I didn't shoot it!

You know how difficult it is to surf BMs when it's that big?
Those guys are studs!
The old bod don't work like it used to.
Maybe from many days enjoying the same.
Not close to as big, but cold and off shore, same month 1992

Not too far fetched, even worse now with all the building along there I'd guess.

My last paddle out there was the day I was the first out and paddled through a 4 foot white wash and came up burning. Face, hands, down the neck of my wetty. Some chemical in the water. Later in the day you could smell it all down the beach.

Thankfully I had bros on the beach who came and helped me get washed off. Could have gone blind if I had to make it back to my bros trailer.

Unloaded the trailer soon after and surfed elsewhere. :(
