Sarah Wisdom (What a name for a librarian!) asked me to post this here.

For Immediate Release

Our favorite Baja adventurer is back! Explore the spirit of Baja California with author Graham Mackintosh when he visits Yuma libraries February 23rd and 24th. Graham has walked and camped all over the peninsula, and written several books about his adventures. Join him for the following narrated
slideshow presentations:

Monday, February 23
7:00pm "Into a Desert Place"
A 3000-mile walk around the coast of Baja
California
Heritage Branch Library, 350 Third Avenue

Tuesday, February 24
10:00am "Journey With a Baja Burro"
1000 miles along the mission trail in Baja
Foothills Branch Library, 13226 E. South
Frontage Rd

Tuesday, February 24
3:00pm "Nearer My Dog to Thee"
A summer in Baja's "Sky Island"
Wellton Branch Library, 28790 San Jose
Avenue

Thanks Oso for following Sarah's wise words and posting those lecture dates.

Like many a snowbird, I can think of worse fates than being "Marooned" in Yuma in February.

To ease my sufferings on the island -- manna from heaven dropped into the sea before me, via Cessna 172.

We went to the El Cajon Library Presentation just a couple of weeks ago and Graham explained it was a simple old golf umbrella cover.

Not sure why NPR just mentioned the first show. All three slide presentations definitely scheduled. Something for everyone.
