NEW BAJA ALMANAC

According to the latest issue of the Discover Baja newsletter, the new Baja Almanac and companion foldout map are imminent! They say the publisher is working with the printer to have copies available in the Discover Baja office in early 2009. Let's keep our fingers crossed!

NO GOOD NEWS... Calls to the Almanac's creator (Landon) are not answered or returned.

Discover Baja Travel Club was told the all new Almanac would be ready in January... so to be safe, DBTC told the membership 'February'... and I talked to them a couple days ago, and still nada.

If anyone can get ahold of Landon Crumton, please tell him "we are standing by to buy his books"!

I hate to bring this up again...but any word on the new edition? I doubt it, but thought I'd throw myself to the wolves.

If no reunion tour, possibly a new location: "Punta Hendrix"? Near "Bahia de Strat"? The old almanac does have some whacky names!

YES: A week ago this email came (7-24-09) and notice the remark about the Baja Almanac...

Dear Discover Baja Members,

To celebrate Discover Baja's new location we are having a Grand-Re-Opening FIESTA!!
All Discover Baja members and their friends are welcome. It will be:

Saturday, September 12, 2009
2:00 to 5:00 PM
at our new office
3264 Governor Drive
San Diego, CA 92122

Check our website (www.discoverbaja.com) or call us for directions.

There will be snacks and beverages,
many give-aways,
vendors with wonderful crafts and gifts
and (hopefully) the new
Baja Almanac
(I know, we'll all believe it when we SEE it)

Call our office 800-727-2252 to tell us you're coming!!

Adam Behar, the publisher of BAJA Breeze Magazine, has published an article "The changing face of Baja Norte." We thought you might be interested in reading it. This is the link http://www.sdnn.com/sandiego/2009-07-23/lifestyle/adam-behar...

Baja has some of the best fishing in years--right now. If you need fishing licenses, vehicle insurance or tourist visas, call us and we will take care of all your paperwork and any information you might need for Baja.

Hasta Pronto,
Hugh and Carol Kramer

I am beginning to think that the rumor of a possible new Baja Almanac is one of those urban legends.

The masking tape holding our old one together is beginning to crack and needs to be retired.!

As long as they come out before my next trip in March. The two copies I do have (field copy and house copy) are tattered and coming apart.
