Neal: I noticed that Google Plus for $20 is no longer available - must go all the way to $400 Pro for GPS.

Santiago,
I noticed that; maybe the Plus $20 feature(s) are included in the free edition, I have not checked yet. My GE still shows Plus. The only Plus feature
I ever noticed was better print resolution (same screen view). A mystery!

Before I upgraded to 5, there was a tab to "Upgrade to Plus". I didn't try it but it's not here on 5. I had tried several months ago to upgrade
without any success. The only thing I found it did, when I had it, was put GPS tracks directly into GE. I have another program that I can do that
with so not really much of a loss for me.

For those in the San Diego area, my friend and coach Steve Diggs is giving a presentation on the new GE:
What: Presentation on "Ocean in Google Earth" launched this week
Where: Sumner Auditorium
When: Wednesday, Feb. 4 from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm
Please join Director Tony Haymet for a presentation with Scripps Data Manager Steve Diggs about the latest features to explore the ocean in Google
Earth. Steve attended the Google upgrade launch in San Francisco on Monday, Feb. 2, and will discuss the latest news on Google's dive into the ocean
and how Scripps can provide data and other content for a future "Scripps layer."
SIO professor David Sandwell and his NOAA colleague supplied the global bathymetry data for the three-dimensional backdrop required for the new ocean
feature in Google Earth. Scripps also contributed to the "Ocean Expeditions" layer with details of R/V Melville recent two-and-a-half year research
voyage. Scripps news release: http://scrippsnews.ucsd.edu/Releases/?releaseID=956

I always enjoy improved satellite imagery.
Occasionally, some areas appear to not having had updates for years.

What's with the Google Web browser they are trying to install with Earth 5.0 ?

idea to bring back that oversized mexican sombrero thing to wear when I'm outside so you cant see me when you zoom in here!
