A good rig?

I'm gonna make a 1st timerun to Baja in a car with mi esposa for our 25th anniversary. Does anyone have a favorite rig set-up, make/model. I want to get off road and I'll probably be travellin' late Aug.-probably the most caliente time of the year, no doubt. It can be new or used. I have a Dodge Stratus now.

Thanks for your take. I definately would lean toward the smaller set-ups since I wouldnt necessarily camp the whole time.
Is the late part of Aug a hellacious hot time to travel? Where's a good area to tool around that time of year?
luego:wow:

Anywhere from the border to just past San Quintin is beautiful that time of the year. Unless you LOVE the heat, I wouldn't go much past that.
