Whales in April?

Is April 6-12 too late for whales in Laguna Ojo de Liebre or Ignacio? Thanks!

Btw, I was down in Todos Santos the first weekend in February and there were maybe 12 or 14 of them right where the estuary is. Some were breaching and leaping 30-40 feet from shore! I was so surprised. They seemed to have a sixth sense though. Every time I started video taping they went underwater. Every time I put the camera away, they started doing a circus show.

You should check search tool, mommy. This topic was recently and extensively discussed. Simple answer- You'll be fine at either place.

April is VERY late at Ojo de Liebre...sometimes none..sometimes you can see some out by the mouth so you need to go with one of the companies that uses that particular viewing area like Mario's or Malarrimo or Laguna as the other tours go to other areas deeper into the lagoon and at that time of year...usually...you only see whales that are passing by coming from the south and may stop over for a rest near the mouth of Ojo de Liebre...lots of whales still in SAn Ignacio and Mag Bay though.
Ojo de Liebre has whales earlier and they leave earlier.
