Whale Sharks in La Paz bay!!!

Have you ever swam beside a 30 foot fish???

We did today - in La Paz bay next to the Mogote development. What a National Geographic moment!!! Just like on TV.
There were 6 of them, just sunning and swimming on the surface. From a 10 foot baby to a 30 foot, mouth wide open gargantuan. We were repeatedly dropped off a moving panga like Navy Seal commandos - directly upcurrent of them. No chasing them around, just slow and peaceful. Looking them in the eye, sliding our hands along their sandpaper body as they lazed by, gently holding their tail for a swaying free ride!
What a life experience!!! Everyone should try it.

This is a heartfeld blatant endorsement for Jose Luis Martinez at Espiritu Tours on the Malecon in La paz. 612-140-1748. Tell him Barry & Vanda sent you. Go. Do it. Yes....
