Cypress you can even get these guys with a little old tin boat,don,t even need to go all the way down to Loreto or Mulege,some years you have to beat Dorado off with a club at BOLA like these guys.

Turns out the estimated 45 lber was "only" 38 back at the dock.

Here's hoping buoyweather is more accurate tomorrow than it was today. Very nasty conditions in the AM.

But the big news is GOOD SIZED YFT HAVE JUST SHOWED UP !!!!!!

These boys are running 45-55 lbs! Wouldnt you know they come through the day I make a run to Nogales for stuff from storage. Now I have a day of unloading and then hoping that the AHI are still around!!!!!!!

Hook - man that's awesome! i'd kill for some raw YFT off the back of a boat now.

my buddy from Payson RR had his corp pilot fly him and his buddies down to san Carlos yesterday for i think a tourney this weekend? he has a boat there, good sized sport fisher but i never been on it. maybe you see them. initials RR, ask around, from Payson AZ a contractor civil eng work.

Ford.......It is a de-hooker. A great device with which you can release a dorado, billfish, or any other fish for that matter, without ever touching it. It has a hooked end that you slide down the leader to the hook in the fish. Then with a smaller fish you hold the leader tight and shake it off. With a bigger fish you can often slide it down the line and the weight of the de-hooker will dislodge the hook. I seldom touch the bills of marlin/sailfish since I got it. A petrolero marlin feather that the dorado hit is wrapped around the de-hooker in the photo.
