Chocolate Lab mix available for adoption

This is Dulce. She is one of the dogs that I rescued from the San Jose arroyo. She is very sweet but needs attention and training. She gets along well with other dogs. Monica and Luis at Cabo Kennel can confirm this. She is part chocolate lab so she will need exercise. That was the problem with the adopting family. They did not have the time or place to exercise her.
I would really like to find this dog a home. She has come a long way since I dragged her literally out of the arroyo but she needs some stability.
She is currently being kenneled at Dr Bravo's office on the highway near the airport...the old CARE center.
Can some Nomad help?

Come on Nomads. I'm 1200 miles away and can't come get her. I want to hear that one of you takes the bait and adopts this girl.

Go dog loving nomads!

I stopped by the Care Center this afternoon to take Dulce for a walk. She comes and sits but is reluctant to heal. There were at least 12 dogs barking and yipping and behind the fence that we were walking toward was a Dobie. No wonder she didnt want to go there.
She really is a sweet dog. She loves to be hugged!

This thread is so heart breaking Judy. Why don't you try putting something in the Baja Onion news letter. I know there are others there for adoption as well... but you never know!!! She just looks so adorable. This must be very hard for you:no:

bajajudy,

Wishing you luck finding Dulca a Good home. She could be my Bella's twin. She was found on the road outside of La Paz by my neighbor. She looked like Dulca when found 4th of March. She has a few problems that need working on. She loves walking on the beach, but not the water.

Thank goodness for all the amazing kind and caring people in Baja California and Baja California Sur who go the extra mile on behalf of Baja's street animals. One man here in Loreto has taken in more than 50 doggies. Each has been spayed/neutered and vaccinated and is receiving meds if needed. This is a private labor of love on his part. They are sheltered in his home and on land he bought and fenced for them—he does it by himself, and pays for all the food, meds. surgeries etc. He asks for nothing in return. Patrick's Pooches are all available for adoption to homes approved by him.

World Vets is coming to Animalandia in Loreto on June 21-18 for the next free spay/neuter clinic.

Dulce is still looking for a good home

Nuts
Dulce is in San Lucas. She passed the distemper test and will be in quarantine for one more week. I will check with the shelter but I know that they send dogs to the states regularly. We would just have to find an escort, as the airlines will not take unaccompanied pets.
THANKS

Wow... sure hope this means a home for Dulce!!! Judy saw your note in the Onion.
If you are looking for someone to take her to the states... put in another request.
I did the same for one of our rescues and had 5 or 6 viable offers.
Good luck!!!!!!:bounce::bounce:
