Opening Soon in Bahia Asuncion

Our friends, Jesus and Martha have been working hard to open their new family bar by father's day. But if they do not make that deadline, it will open fairly soon and we hope all visitors and part-time residents will send business thier way. They are really super nice people and we hope they are sucessful.

OK, for you map people and ones who get lost in Bahia Asuncion, here is the location on the very outdated Google Earth Map.

Not much to look at from the outside yet, but that will change.
Also, there will be a deck out front. This picture was taken a while back.

Jesus is going to build better stairs and have a small outdoor area on top---room for about 5 people and he promised to have good strong safety rails.

He is working on the bathrooms. He will have a septic so they will be real bathrooms. Also, he is going to connect to the city water. For electricity, for now he will have a generator and maybe solar in the near future until the electric lines reach that area.

For the inside, they have been collecting nautical items for decoration and are also creating a history of Bahia Asuncion wall.

They burned the wood for this bar area that will open to the outside--it is not reinforced yet.

Another view of the inside---they were camping in there at the time which is why there are toothbrushes in the old phone.
Jesus is a Bahia Asuncion native, but also lives in Rosarito. They chose to camp there this time instead of staying with one of their many family members in Bahia Asuncion so they could work from morning until night.

Martha on the left and one of their nieces, Brenda on the right. Brenda is attending school on the mainland and will return to BA as a nurse.

And Jesus on the right with his ever present smile.

So, we hope visitors will stop by when it is completed.

Wooo hooo...a family bar!!! This means it isnt a cantina with ummm...pleasing ladies...but more of a family atmosphere where woman can go for a brewsky while the kids play at the beach. This is a very welcome project as it will be the first bar where we nomad princesses can hang out...and it's just a hop skip and trip from our place. I'm glad they will have a real bathroom...this will also bring water and power to that area where there is none at the moment.
We wish them all the success and will happily bring all our visitors there...better get a Get Baja steeker ready!
By the way, Jesus is Armandos brother...thus the likeness.

Gosh, can't imagine how you noticed. Yes Jesus is one of the 11 siblings and they all are easy to recognize as a Verduzco.

Nice post Diane... Good news for the Nomadians of Asuncion and visitors, too! :D

Shari... if you have any more 'got baja?' stickers from our visit, please add one to the new bar's sticker window or where-ever! :bounce:
