best in mail movie rental

Hi all,

Just wondering what services people who live in baja use to get their DVD movie fix with. We use Netflix to get 3 movies at a time. Since Netflix also rents blueray titles and does streaming this works out pretty well for us. After 9:00 pm I can watch tv shows and movies for free when Starband allows unlimited bandwidth (its not the best video quality over satellite but its ok)
Question is are there any better services to use than Netflix?
We only get up to Ensenada maybe once every week or 2 to get our mail, its always nice to find some movies waiting!

NO !

Netflix Rules !

The BEST deal and SUPERB service. I'm still amazed at their turn-around time and the VERY Few times I've received a DVD with a defect, a replacement was shipped immediately. That wouldn't mean much in your case (or ours when we're in Baja), but in the U.S. it usually means Six or more movies per week.

HULU has movies and TV shows

http://www.hulu.com/

and here is a great (almost free) movie site-
http://www.movieonline.cc/

NOTE- it's movieonline dot CC ---NOT dotCOM

set up an account and depost $10 or so. The movies cost something like .05 to .25 cents to watch. They have all the new movies that are in theaters also. The latest Harry Potter was on movieonline.cc before it came to our local (rural) theater.

Another free movie site is-
SideReel

ncampion:

No they don't deliver to Baja we get them sent to our mail service which picks up our mail twice a week in Coronado and then brings it to their office in Ensenada.

Steve: I just tried Hulu and it works fine with Starband, just have to let it buffer for a while or else its a bit jerky. I have been thinking of upgrading to the faster service, gives twice the bandwidth 1.5 M download and 256k upload for only $25 more a month.

I just have to say MrBillM was right, movieonline-dot-cc has Harry Potter 1-5, not 6,

I got the titles mixes up when I saw it on the "hot" list.

Anyway, we find it a very economical entertainment site.

iag

(it's all good)

Now there is this other site called RaedonTV.....hubby and 'Nuts0.5 decided to watch the new movie Transformers. It was kinda grainy and the picture shook every once in a while. Hubby said, :light: " I know what this is! someone's got a hat camera!"

Sure enough, a couple minutes later, you see someone stand up and walk to the isle of the movie theater.
:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Actually, that Raedon site has TV stations from around the world. You can sit on the veranda in Cabo watching the 5 o'clock news covering the snow storms in Vancouver, Alaska, and Fargo, check out London, Dubai, Turkey...you name it!

Look like you are a US internet user

If you have problems with sites that don't like connecting to Mexico, try HotSpot Shield from www.anchorfree.com. It connects you via a VPN with a US IP address.

I was a terrible pirate in the late 90's. The friggen card went down weekly and there I was knocking on Rick's door so he could reprogram that gosh darnmed card. It would always crap out right before a good pay-per view show. Now a days I'm legal one dish here one up there one bill.,
