1. Got Milk?

Okay, nomads. It's milking time. Who will volunteer?

Nice Roger. They need to do some gender testing on that "cow". In any event, I'm not checked out in milking so I will have to pass. Both images are great. ++Ken++

Hah..exactly what I thought when this cow appeared, Ken. I milked many a cow in my childhood, but this one I would have let out of the barn. ;)

Short hijack for levity:

The Milk Cow

The only cow in a small town in Arkansas stopped giving milk. The people did some research and found they could buy a cow up in Muncie, Indiana, for $200.00. They bought the cow from Indiana and the cow was wonderful.

It produced lots of milk all of the time, and the people were pleased and very happy. They decided to acquire a bull to mate with the cow and produce more cows like it. They would never have to worry about their milk supply again.

They bought a bull and put it in the pasture with their beloved cow. However, whenever the bull came close to the cow, the cow would move away.

No matter what approach the bull tried, the cow would move away from the bull and he could not succeed in his quest. The people were very upset and decided to ask the Vet, who was very wise, what to do. They told the Vet what was happening. "Whenever the bull approaches our cow, she moves away.

If he approaches from the back, she moves forward. When he approaches her from the front, she backs off. An approach from the side and she walks away to the other side."

The Vet thinks about this for a minute and asked, "Did you buy this cow in Indiana?"

The people were dumbfounded, since they had never mentioned where they bought the cow. "You are truly a wise Vet," they said. "How did you know we got the cow in Indiana ?"

The Vet replied with a distant look in his eye, "My wife is from Indiana.

I definetely know what you mean, fixtrauma...and good to hear from you again.

The milking stool reminds me of my Aunt Alice..who, like all my relatives, was not a small person. Over 6' and not a timid bone in her body, she was known as Big Al of Sheyenne
Valley. I have a mental picture of her now as I think of milking time. At her and my Uncle Norman's ranch...she is sitting on a milking stool filling a pail handily, squirting a quick stream at a kitten in the corner, then one at me..and then, when the huge cow jostled too close..shoving her shoulder into it's hind quarters to move it over. It moved right quick. You didn't mess with Big Al.

All the cows here have that extra appendage where one would expect to see the bull member. I wonder why?
I believe it is her belly button.

My very favorite Baja cows---the holstein cows in front of the Jersey Milk Factory.

Thanks

8. Country woman

On the old trail/road to the Comundus
Reminds me of similar scenes in our Up North summer countryside, where eldery women like to knit outside ..and watch for that rare traffic.

9. Latitude 22

This was a very popular spot a long time ago..in Cabo san Lucas. We had some damn good times in this cantina.

Is it still there? I heard some rumors on the coconut telegraph a while back.....or was it here?
