Trip Buddy 2009 Baja 1000 Race

Coyote Cal’s, Ejido Erendira, Baja California, Mexico

I’m looking for a travel companion from Anaheim, Orange County to Punta San Isidro, about 100 Km south of Ensenada to a beautiful seaside location to watch my first Tecate-SCORE Baja 1000 , meet other travelers, catch a fishing panga & surf a bit next month. [/url]Coyote Cal's is a really nice traveler’s hostel ($15 per night for bunk rooms) on a bluff over the beach. The race passes directly beneath and above the resort which has outdoor decks and the Barefoot Cantina for maximum enjoyment of the race. Location map

If this interests you, contact me and I’ll be glad to share more information and pictures of me before we meet. Please include some details about yourself when you write back. I’m open to male or female. I’ll cover fuel and car insurance costs if you’ll buy me a couple of margaritas and cervezas.

• The event is November 20-23.
• The actual race starts in Ensenada at 6am on Friday, November 21 and runs a maximum of 31 hours --- with best viewing time for this location on Saturday.
• I’m thinking of staying 3 nights, one on either side of the race and then a third night to allow for fishing (Friday) and/or surfing (Sunday) before returning to Southern California.
• In other words, depart on Thursday, November 20, returning on Sunday, November 23rd.
• We’ll be traveling in a VW Jetta, not my dream 4x4 white Jeep.

Or if you’d rather spend the first week of November in Los Cabos, I have a timeshare available for rent. I cannot go this year. Complete details at
The 12-Volt Bar.
