matomi's south canyon

I was looking @ the sierra club report on matomi near san felipe, and it says "Nearby(matomi's peak), a large canyon with many palms, streaked southward".
Does anyone know what canyon they are referring to and the best way to get to it?
Thank You

Have a look at http://davidksbaja.com/matomi and http://davidksbaja.com/amo and http://davidksbaja.com/elgatoloco all three are n my site (DavidKsBaja.com) We went there on Prez Day weekend 2001. I have been going up Matomi Canyon for over 20 years... Exotic oasis with year round water fall and natural swimming pool!

Ok... spill the beans: How did you get to Mesa el Avion? It's a LONG ways from any road other than the Matomi arroyo road. :?:
