Where's the best place to see whales in late December?

Hi all!

I know the grey whales really peak in Feb/March, but I've heard there are also other kinds of whales--humpback, for instance--that are watchable in Baja. What's the best place to see whales--of any kind--in Baja during the last two weeks of December?

Hi,

I've spent some time investigating this mysefl since I will be down there at the same time. I contacted the whale tour companies and the only one that will most likely have tours are the ones in Guerrero Negro. This is for gray whales that are migrating down. Both Mario's and Malarrimo were helpful.

have fun!

Humpbacks are playing and jumping all over the place near the shore in Todos Santos at the moment. And a young grey whale swam through the line up this morning not 20 feet from me!!

For some reason their has been way more humpbacks this season than usual. They have also been coming in very close to shore.

We are in Cabo san lucas and took the whale watching tour today. Saw 3-4 humpback whales multiple times during the 2 hour tour. Also saw dolphins who followed the boat. It was good.
