landings in BOLA?

I heard on BBP that there were private planes now landing at Bay of LA.

Can anyone from there confirm this?

If so, are they US registered with an N-number?

Yes many planes land there, the main "airport" and the other dirt one a mile or so south of Camp Gecko.

P.S. Yes to the US N numbers..

PSS If you need a taxi fly over town and tilt your wings, a taxi will come pick you up.

I think that steekers was posting this because it was announced a few weeks ago that L.A. Bay's airport was closed because nobody paid to permit it... and we have been waiting for news of its re-opening.

BBP members, please post updates here on Nomad as there are non-pilots who are interested in this, too!

Debra, it is here on Nomad... just below: http://forums.bajanomad.com/viewthread.php?tid=42677

How about some reports from Camp Gecko (if you are there)... Would love to hear about the New Years there, etc.

Thanks!
