monster swell coming

Enero Loco....febrero otro poco is the saying we are hearing alot these days as the weather is so crazy. It has been like summer here...hot sunny and big swell. Tomorrow we will amanacer (sunrise) to a whopping 16' swell which is rare here and absolutely stunning out here at the blowhole...I'm getting giddy at the thought of it....thinkin of you woody.

We had some booming-loud 15 foot sets come in all day. Not even the jet-ski surfers were out here... it must have been 20 feet or more somewhere else I guess.

Hey Woody you mentioning the town of 29 Palms sure brought back memories. Many years ago I was stationed at M.C.A.G.C.C., Twentynine Palms California. God I loved the Stumps! I lived off of Samarkand Drive back then and every time it rained the street ran like a fast moving river. I once moonlighted as a bartender at the Adobe Deli. It used to be a great watering hole for many people! Back in the day when I was a drinking man I used to go drinking at a Country Western bar we called the "Cow Palace" and I also positively loved to eat and drink at the 29 Palms Inn. Ahhhh what memories!

Local San Diego TV this morning showing the BIG waves contacting the bottom of a local pier (today closed to public)... Shades of El Niño?

A not-so-secret spot in Northern Baja going off with just a few people out! This was from two days ago...supposed to be even bigger today, and another huge swell is hitting early next week!
