Los Olivos in San Q closed for the season?

We pulled in to Los Olivos RV park (next to Jardines) last week (Jan 6) , our way north and there was a closed sign across the entrance.

We're heading back down again tomorrow with trip #2 of our worldly posessions and would love to know if they will be closed for the season, or if this is just an occasional thing. Since it's about the end of the line for camping options in San Quintin which is often the winter driving cut-off spot before dark, it would be great to find out if they will be open.

There's no email contact on their website and I don't have access to a phone to make international calls. Any info would be helpful.

You might want to e-mail Carmen at Jardines and ask if she knows what's going on. She has always been immediately responsive to my e-mails.

Oh, are they Mexican? Their nationality or ethnic background have no bearing on my wishing them success :smug:

I see everyone who loves Baja or offers good services to us Baja lovers as the same... HUMANS.

Hi Mike how are you? When are you gonna be back in SQ?

Tony, how have you been? The fishing has been ok at the moment. I can get Juan Cook to take you out fishinig. He has a 26 foot super panga. The cost is $250.00 dlls per day. I will see if anyone wants to go out with you. It was nice and warm with no wind these past few weeks and now all of a sudden it has gotten really windy and cold. I hope the wind stops so we get our 70 degree winter weather back. Let me know what days you will want to go fishing and I will contact Juan for you. He is an excellent captain.

HAHAHA.....yeah I got paid some of what I was owed, not much but I guess its better than nothing.

For those of you who live in Colonia Vicente Guerrero do they still have the Almejero camp west of Colonia Los Papalotes? Also, If you happen run into Alma LeBaron Sr. tell him Anna Mae's eldest son David M says hello! I hope he's still alive. A lady named Celia used to live at the Colonia Los Papalotes and was married to my dad Nephi. Years ago when I stopped by she was still living there just not home.
