Imposter

Anyone care to swim or surf with me?

What at first I thought was a large Shark, turned out to be a baby Grey Whale using his tail to do a pretty good job of imitating one. When I first saw the "fin" I wondered how long it would be before I felt comfortable going out in the water again :o

Mom and calf just off the beach:

(these are stills from video, so the quality's not the best).

oh yeah...moms are great at shark imitations! I sure got nervous at times when I saw this in the lagoon and feared for the calves...but often what is happening when you see this is that the mom is turned on her side to make it easier for the calf to nurse, so the tip of her tail sticks up and looks like a big shark fin.

Or if there is no calf, in very shallow water if they turn on their side to feed, the tail tip can also show above the water line but usually it's a nursing activity....did you know the mammary slits are located on both sides of the vagina? got all those parts in one place...pretty convenient eh! kinda like one stop shopping!:wow: the baby nuzzles up to the slit and mama just squirts a stream of thick cream like milk into her mouth...they dont latch onto a nipplie like our babiesand husbands)
and here is the xxx whale photo....caution...hide the kids eyes.

I dont know if I ever told this story or not....but I got this photo on a special private whale trip...2 retired gynacologists wanted a panga all to themselves and me to guide them so they had to wait all day till a panga became available...so they drank rum & cokes all day...and shared some with me too...so we were having a pretty fun trip when one of them asked how to sex a whale...I answered that it is darn near impossible to tell them apart unless of course one comes up and sticks her vagina in your face...hahahaha...lots of laughter and we look over and a whale who was nearby...comes over next to the boat...rolls over and pushes up her privates right into the guys face!!! that is the honest to goddess truth!!!!
