Wasn't in Puerticitos. It was in San Felipe 9 miles south of town in an empty development. Both victims were Mexican. Happened Sunday evening. Bodies were found on Monday. Small caliber handgun.

http://www.frontera.info/EdicionEnLinea/Notas/Noticias/09032...

Two men executed inside an abandoned vehicle south of San Felipe, were brothers: Ricardo Garate Rivas & Garate Osmel Raydese Rivas - both Sinaloa natives residing in San Felipe. One was gagged, both had been shot. The were found near Km 5.5 on the road to Puertecitos, near Campo San Fernando.

The poster bajaponderosa is new here, it's prescient they posted a false lead to a story titled "murder on the malecon la paz" repeatedly and posted a link to bajaracing, a site known to be a promotion for who knows what, unreliable in my opinion in it's information or real purpose.

There is no link on bajaracing to an actual story about murder on the malecon la paz, there is a graphic image which states story loading now-which it is not. It's a teaser.

There is a fictional novel related to this subject, both of these facts suggest that bajaponderosa simply is using his old promotional tricks to drive traffic, by posting false misleading stories to instill fear alongside stories about racing and photos of girls.

The site's author's lack of credibility has been covered on BN at length, noting the site's author's many exploits and acerbic attitude, though it hasn't been mentioned recently.

It is my opinion bajaracing news, ********** and it's sister sites are not worthwhile reading if you are looking for facts, perhaps that isn't the goal.

Finally, I can not understand why other sites and posters who are reputable link to and promote the site bajaracing and **********.

Here's a link which might shed some light.

This is a true story. It happened in Casablanca development which is KM 5. Bodies were not in an abandoned vehicle. One was dumped on the road, one was on the beach. Brothers were from Sinaloa orginally. Happened between 5-6 PM on Sunday.

This post initially was titled differently and has now been edited. Yes the story of san felipe deaths is reported elsewhere.

This post had two portions, one which mentioned the deaths in San Felipe and a second portion mentioning murder on the malecon La Paz which were also on the site. The second portion has been deleted here. I am referring to the poster's method which is to mislead with fear based posts initially while linking to his site to promote racing. As I mentioned the author is adept at obfuscation. You can make up your own mind.

No worries... it is one of the most mis-spelled places in Baja... you are not alone!

It's the MEXICAN Way !

Mis-spellings, that is. AND, it's not just a Gringo thing.

The OFFICIAL Highway Department sign at the Hwy 5 "Airport" Intersection south of San Felipe STILL (as of last Wednesday) reads "El HURFANITO". What's it been ? A couple of years ?

I'm not sure about "Yurimuri / Yorimuri" signs heading North below La Puerta. Anybody know if they're still spelling it both ways ?
