Let's be serious here. Just consider that if you are perusing the Nomad posts, there are folks from all around the affected area who are on line, with
electricity, sitting more or less calmly in their undamaged homes. I wouldn't give a second thought to being able to travel down through there. As
time goes by, I'm sure there will be some stories dealing with damage. But, unless there are further seismic events, don't give it a second thought.

Rocking and rolling here in Coronado/San Diego. Water sloshing out of pools but no knowledge of any serious damage. Anyone near Mexicali?

Felt three different earthquakes/aftershocks so far. Got a 1930's home in the East County and boy did it shake.

I have some minor damage to the outside walls of my home, small cracks, and one outside door the molding seperated by about quarter of an inch.
I am very concerned about Mexicali and surrounding areas,, the new CNN is not talking about that

According to the government earthquake sight there have been five earthquakes within a little over an hour - near Julian and near Pine Valley two more
small ones.

And it keeps rockin'and rollin' here in San Felipe - no damage at my place but downtown? And I wonder about Guadalupe Victoria - nice town hope not
too torn up but it's near the epicenter - 16 miles NNE of the ain event.

Does the San Anreas run 25 mines north of Santa Rosa CA? I thought it was out to sea by then.

Early reports in the Mexicali newspapers say there are buildings with visible signs of structural damage, roads with fissures and broken pipes.

Kinda Spooky.
I just checked Jim Berkland's website (he predicts earthquakes based on moon and tidal activity) to see what his predictions were for this month and
he predicted a 7+ between March 29 and April 5 somewhere on the Ring of Fire. Bingo.
Here are his predictions for April:
PREDICTIONS FOR APRIL
The Seismic Window of March 29-April 5, 2010 is based upon the full Moon syzygy of March 29., the close perigee on March 27, and the lingering effect
of the equinoctal tides.
There is an 80% chance for a least one quake with the following parameters:
(1) 3.5-6.5M within 140 miles of Mt. Diablo (37.9N; 121.9W);
(2) 3.5-6.5M within 140 miles of Los Angeles ( 34.0N; 118..0W)
(3) 3.5-6.5M with an epicentral address of Washington or Oregon.
(4) 7.0+M major event globally. Most likely within the Pacific Ring of Fire.

I think
you're right, though it does look like many of the faults are interconnected.
That 4.1 that I saw is gone or has been revised downward now.

We were already planning to head to our casa south of San Felipe early tomorrow morning. Any word on highway conditions?
Looks like epicenter was in mountains next to rio hardy.
Any more word on San Felipe damage?

I haven't heard any news of highway/road damage. We did get a good shake down here in San Quintin as well...
