desertcpl...this trip MAY actually turn into a re-supply/physical assessment of Coco...a group called "Disabled Explorers", led by Lance ( over at AZFJ.org) is working to get Coco some urgently needed patient training, physical assessment and is working diligently with a US prosthetic vendor on getting limbs done...
not rulling out kayaking, fishing and camping...just adding another dimension to the expedition
details to follow
Mike

Gonzaga trip

I'm in the process of getting 3 buddies to go down to Gonzaga around the time of your trip. The last time I was there was around 1972. If it comes together perhaps we could meet enroute between Mexicali and Puertocitos. We plan on a little shore fishing and maybe renting a panga. Do they rent kayaks in Gonzaga?
We're all retired more or less and enjoy fishing, ATV trail riding and I'm renewing my love affair with Baja.

No. Right now I'm living in Victorville, Ca.

I\'ve been told I\'m preoccupied with Baja. They just don\"t understand, in fact neither do I.

Coco has an adherent scar on his left residual limb which precludes him from using a prosthesis on that side. We are trying to arrange for him a revision surgery with Dr. Alejandro Aguirre-Chavez who is with the La Balandra Rotarians in La Paz.

The initial trip by Lance, in June, is to meet Coco...to find out what COCO needs....not what WE"well meaning" Samaritans THINK he needs....If you are not familiar with Lance and his organization...please feel free to contact him at his website www.disabledexplorers.com and share your concerns and interest

and THANK YOU for what YOU are doing for Coco

What a small world.

Going to be hot that time of year. I usually try to stay on the pacific side during summer.
