When they say that pre-running begins on May 22nd, does that mean it happens from that date to the date of the race? And if so, is most of it done on the weekends?

Thanks

It means that Score and the Mexican authorities have approved using the marked coarse by racers to get familiar with it before the actual race, beginning then.

Otherwise, they are either public or private roads that may or may not be okay to pre-run on.

Pre-running does not mean it's okay to drive at race speeds and those roads are still open to public or private use. Everyone should be cautious of racers on the coarse during that time and during the race. Racers or pre-runners should keep in mind that the roads are not just for their use, but are for others too.

Since most racers are financially free to take weekdays off than the average joe (or jose), it would be best to not assume the weekends are the only days for pre-running. In fact, there are only a couple weekends before the race.

Darn it!

The course is going up and around Erindira just like the 1000 did. I like when it goes right by my place. That way Drinks and snacks and bano runs are much easier... Plus waiting for the Trophy trucks at home listening to the scanner works better for me than on the side of the road a whole 2 miles away...:(
