Hoohka Rig
I just saw a nice Hooka dive compresser on the San Diego Craigslist. I talked to the guy- He says that it's vertually new and is actually set up for
TWO divers. Wants $750 and won't budge on price. Not a bad deal though.

They find a compressor on your boat in SOC, they take the boat. Thanks to Seawatch and others. That after hookahs took every fish bigger than a
baseball from La Paz to Loreto. You do that enough, nothing comes back, nothing survives.

The co-ops use Hoohah all the time here to decimate the Urchins.

This is not true. Hooka are legal in SOC, But you better not get caught taking anything out of the sea using an Hooka or tanks you will lose the boat.
I was checked for the first time ever this year. I was at a spot that I never thought that I would be checked, 40 miles north of Loreto. As I had a
camera and no fishing gear, I had no problem with the ranger.

you have a hooka rig in your boat in the national park and you will be questioned and far worse consequences if you have fish/lobster/shell fish in
there along with it. they can be used recreationally or to clean boat bottoms, etc.
as to price, once the park folks started looking more closely, I've seen a number for sale in this area (Loreto/Pto Escondido) and prices vary widely.
reality\'s never been of much use out here...
