Paella & Wine Festival in Rosarito - DATE CHANGED to August 14

"Dear friends:

This email is to inform you about the date change we, along with the Tourism Board and the Restaurants Association have decided on, to hold the Paella and Wine Festival. The new date is Saturday August 14 at Castillos del Mar. We are waiting on one more sponsor so we can have the advertising printed. As soon as we have this we will pass it on to you.

Respectfully,
Fernando Garcia"

Can you ask them to consider moving the July Lobster Festival to a month when lobsters are in season? Geesh. Maybe combine Mardi Gras/Carnival with a Lobster Festival or something along those lines that makes culinary sense.

Sheesh Woosh! (Boy I Love an Excuse for Posting That)

I don't have any influence with or significance to the local governmental heavyweights who make the decisions on these events; but, I will happily pass your thoughts on.

I guess you didn't enjoy the 1st Annual Beer tasting celebration last Satruday in town.

yup, Oktoberfest in July. I don't think the events are intentionally mis-timed, maybe it's a manana thing and the organizers run late every year...

I have noticed that they have been spuceing up a bit at Castillos. This could be a great venue for this type of event. I guess this is a new event? Sounds like fun.
