You have to play with it sometimes. Click on Pacific Hurricanes near the top, then turn on the clouds middle-right. You'll figure it out.
Strangely enough, Frank doesn't seem to have the clouds we see in other events. It may be just a lot of hellacious wind.
We'll see.

yeah, same characteristics..jimena was a tropical storm for quite awhile before going postal on us....guess i'll just go salmon fishing and hope for

Ah Judy, My favorite weather girl, I hope You are right!
Here in Vera Cruz this morning the sun is shiining bright as I have seen it since I have been here. Still, wispy clouds, and the sky is the lightest
blue, so different than the intense blue of Baja or the Violet blues of Oaxaca.

A MID-LATITUDE TROUGH
IS FORECAST BY ALL OF THE MODELS TO DIG SOUTHWARD OFF THE WEST
COAST OF THE U.S. AND BAJA CALIFORNIA...WHICH SHOULD ACT TO ERODE
THE WESTERN PORTION OF THE RIDGE. AS THE STEERING FLOW WEAKENS...
FRANK IS EXPECTED TO SLOWLY TURN NORTHWARD AND POSSIBLY BEGIN
RECURVATURE TO THE NORTHEAST AS A WEAKENING TROPICAL STORM.
I read this that it could pass over the southern Baja as a tropical storm which would give us rain hopefully.

Jimena was a major hurricane when she about 400 miles from us. This storm is only predicted to be a cat 1 at the most.

I am thinking about it. I come north about 1x a year or so. i have spent a bunch of time on the Hoko river...my favorite little river. I used to drive
out from Montana for college spring break and camp and fish the hoko for a week.

my buddy and i have fished the hoko dozens and dozens of times for steelhead...have more ten fish days than i can count..whatta great little stream.

Frank could buttonhook like Jimena, but track further south. It isn't carrying a big volume of rain. Mulege will be spared. La Paz and East Cape could
get it, but will not be devastating.

Hurricanes feed on heat. They'll increase in power over warm water and weaken over cold water. Never underestimate them.
