Neither. They used to have gas available from a tank but I don't think they do any more. They can probably fix you up with a few gallons for your bikes. I'm sure there are some motorcycle folks here that can give you the current scoop, I need to know too as I will need a few gallons there in December.

The last time I flew into SFQ there were about a dozen bikes making a pit stop for buritos and gas. They had pre-arranged for the stop and there was a pickup truck with a 50gal drum to get a few gallons into each bike.

It was a guided motorcycle group that seemed to have their act together, at least the guide did, most of the riders were borderline nuts and having a great time.

Usually you can get some gas from the cabanas. If you contact Beto over in the port he can arrange to have gas waiting for you. His email is " betolucero2003@yahoo.com.mx ".

My experience at BSF has been that there is gas available within the day (already there or coming in from GN that day by pick-up) .

It is either in a barrel or jerry cans....but it has been a year since last stop.

McFez,
Yep....at the cantina sooner or later....

It is one of my MOST favourite places in Baja

Spent 6 days there in 2000 doing absolutely nothing except eating smoked yellowtail and looking out over the sea....

The palapas have good cots with bedding, but I always travel with a light down bag....

Keep an eye out for scorpions in Palapa cabins....not to be paranoid, but shake your clothes, shoes, and bedding before getting in to them...

Food and beverages available....machaca or fish or eggs....that's it.....sometimes no fish...beer, water, or pop....never asked for tequila there....

you HAVE to spend at least a sleepover and a full day to start to "Get It"

Glad we can be friends:cool:

The road out of Punta San Francisquito (approaching a rain storm)

I don't remember the name of the pueblito south of San Francisquito, but with 10 additional gallons, I was able to drive my 19 gal. Jeep TJ from Bahia de los Angeles to San Francisquito, horse around on the sand, drive all over, visit the pueblito (w/~200 inhabitants) south of San Francisquito, and take it out to El Arco, filling up in Guerrero Negro w/absolutely no problems.

Driving north from the pueblito to San Francisquito along the shoreline.

We were young...had no big bucks except for club cherokee rentals and some avgas...but we could camp and save over a hotel - and be on the beach! crazy good times at PSFO!
Genaro, Debra Lucero and Miguelito....RIP!
