Need help with this location
Found what appears to be an abandoned Hospital in the hills north Of Santiago, the coordinates are 23.571889,-109.771716
The place is big and has what looks like a residence farther up the hill. Any help with this would be appreciated.

What you found is probably the old abandoned hospital for tuberculosis patients back when they were isolated from civilization. Were you able to gain
access?

Yes, we had full access, no gates or signs to keep us out. Can you tell me more about the place and the building that looks like a residence?

I have seen it from a distance and have a friend that filled me in. I have talked to several other locals that verified the information. We're
headed down in a week and I'll try to fill in the blanks as to ownership and historical dates.

Driving north on Hwy 1 coming returning to Los Barriles from the airport, we were able to spot the building from the road right at the foothills.
Amazing how many things we drive by in our life and don't realize they are there..

Here is a reference to a tuberculosis hospital, never finished it reads, near Santiago in the foothills of the Sierra de la Laguna. I don't see a
construction date for it.

Hiked in today, abandoned TB hospital, never used, never completed, over 50 years ago. Difficult access, but quite impressive. In a couple of weeks
going to try spending the night looking for better photos and Chupracabras.

Old TB Hospital
This is the "directoras" casa on the hillside above the hospital, again, abandoned and never used. BajaBruno's reference does mention the hospital,
but at Santiago. It's the same. Neat site, can't wait to do it at night. Thanks for the very accurate coordinates.

In talking with local folks it was politics. One administration started it, new administration came into power, stopped the support for construction.
Beautiful isolated area on a huge cattle ranch could still be used.
