rememby when "gay" was an adjective and not

an alternative life style? hahaha. this movie is way too funny.

"The Gay Ranchero"..... or, how happy am i on my little ranch in old Mexico...

1948 53 minutes

Outlaws try to seize control of a Mexican airport by sabotaging its planes, and Sheriff Roy Rogers (played by Mr. Rogers) ........???huh?? hahaah
must investigate with the help of pilot Nicci Lopez (Tito Guízar) and airline owner Betty Richards (Jane Frazee).

Co-starring Andy Devine as Cookie Bullfincher - (Bullfincher??!! - you just can't make this stuff up folks..), this exciting Western musical features the tunes "Wait'll I Get My Sunshine in the Moonlight," "Granada," "You Belong to My Heart" and the title song.

has to be the hit movie of my weekend... hahaha.

well while we, or at least i, am doing mexican movies today as an all day streaming marathon....how about this gem??
i never knew there was an "octaman" = we all know about the "octomom? with what - 16 kids and 8 at once??

Octaman
1971 79 minutes
In the radioactive waters off the coast of a Mexican fishing village, scientists encounter a mutant species of octopus with human eyes and an eerie childlike cry. Whatever the creature is, its outraged half-man, half-octopus father wants it back. When a morally bankrupt scientist (Kerwin Mathews) attempts to sell the critter to a circus sideshow, the creature's father stalks his team on a bloody rampage.

haven't watched it yet, probably be 1:00 before i get to it. hahahaha

Pompano, thanks for reminding us of G. Harrison's "Zorro." It was a funny movie, one of the best things he ever did. Although, as I recall, he did play Count Dracula in a vampire flick that was also a hoot.

Not to be snide, but in "Zorro," was he playing himself?

George HAMILTON, folks...not HARRISON, the Beatle. G HAMilton's a hoot and so good at making fun of himself!

Yep....He and Zonker Harris were fierce competitors in the annual Tanning Championships. Of course, Zonker always won.

Sorry to disappoint, but his actual birth name is George Hamilton. That said, he also makes this list:

That's what he says. It used to be impossible for a man named Mendoza to star in a Hollywood film.
I'm not sure, but I think maybe he was from deepest, darkest Africa, brought back as an orphan by Martin and Osa Johnson on the back of a Donkey, no less.

There's a list for everything! This is the internets!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Hamilton_%28actor%29

as for Mr. Hamilton's lineage, being born in Memphis and having a father who was a band leader by the name of George "Spike" Hamilton, and mother's maiden name of Potter.... I think we can forget about him being Latino.

True enough.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queer

However, today gay is considered an acceptable term when referring to homosexuals, while queer an epithet.
