Wrangler Rubicon

I have been reading the post concerning tires and was wondering if the tires I have on my Wrangler will work down in Baja. They are Goodyear wrangler mt/r load range E. I havent seen any info on these tires, but it seems that Bfgs are very popular. Would I be safer switching these tires to Bfg and if not is Goodyear available down there?

if you have that kind of money tom then change them out before you leave and bring down the old ones for spares. when i get new tires i allways keep the two best of the four so i have allways got spares. used tire are expensive down there so keep plenty on hand. i have BFgoodrich at and have had great luck with these but they are pricey, my next choice would be KELLY SAFARIES AWR as they are about half the price and excellent wear. good luck:coolup:

I used Goodyear Wranglers for 20 years on my full size 4wd pickups in Baja and everywhere else. I worked at a place that bought lots of Goodyears so we got our personal tires for wholesale. Now that I pay full price, I run BFGs but wouldn't hesitate to put on Goodyears. I wouldn't change what you have.

Those are good one, Tom. Keep them (and I am a BFG guy!).
