Radar

Does anyone know if Radar Detectors designed for use in the States, also work on Baja. Also, does anyone know what type of radar equipment is being used south of the boarder ?

Thanks,
Peter

I have a neighbor in Baja who has been saved time and again by his
radar detector on Hwy 5 to San Felipe. He drives FAST. I've had him
appear behind me from nowhere and roar by.
I've thought about buying one, though I've never had a problem. It's
hard not to violate the speed limit in Baja. There are places on highway
5 that it goes down to 60 kph. NOBODY drives that slow.

I have been blue lighted twice there, he usualy hangs around La Ventana or the vados north of the check point or closer to El Dorado unless there is an accident back at the curves through Serra Las Pintas, I have saw them close in to Mexacalli but not running radar.
