Great machine, Art. Lucky is the man that buys it.

I drool everytime this vehicle surfaces. And then Every mini-rv I see parked in Venice turns into a baja machine in my head.

That's too kind David :-)

Thank you.

Update, I have a third party to come and see it next week too. If the three of them come at the same time, maybe we can hold an auction, sold to the highest bidder :tumble:

I do the same, all the time, still, even after converting 2 small motorhomes into Baja rigs!

The 1979 motorhome had 67k miles when I bought it. I replaced the drivetrain - the 1998 donor truck's drivetrain had 189k. During the swap I opened the drivetrain (engine, tranny, tcase, axles) and replaced all maintenance parts - gaskets, seals - and had them inspected and adjusted. I've driven the thing more than 20k miles with no drivetrain issues.

The odometer reads 213k.

Once the air pressure was lowered (as we all must, on Shell Island), this 4WD beast floated on the bottomless sand with ease!

The machine and its creator, Art 'edm-1'.

SOLD

Today marks the day my project and joy of 8 years left with its new owner, a gentleman from Dallas Texas who is now driving it home.

Thank you to Baja Nomad and its members especially the few who expressed their appreciation for the vehicle, without which the Dallas gentleman wouldn't have had the determination to fly to Phoenix to buy it. Thank you David, Neal, Chris, Steve, Ken.
