where do some of you who LIKE cabo

like to stay?

preferences are:
1. beach close or on
2. must have jacuzzi for eve wine slurping and happy groping (wit da wifey of course!) that excludes Mar de Cortez unless they added one sine 1986?
3. under $100 a nite (is this even possible?)
4. refer in room, kitchenette a plus if available, will pay extra for that.
5. bar or restuarant on premises not necessary so condo type facility is ok.
6. away from the glitz zone and hawkers

am anxious to hear from anyone on this matter. may have to be there soon for short stay.:smug:

Mike,

I don't think you'll find much, if anything that close to the water. Your best bet for such may certainly be someone's condo somewhere.... but I don't have much in the way of info for that. Hopefully someone else here will.

For hotel/motel/etc... might look into the Cabo Inn:
http://www.caboinnhotel.com

Or one of the other budget alternatives from these lists:
http://escapist.com/baja/loscabos.htm
http://loscabosguide.com/hotels/economical.htm

One thing you didn't note is by "Cabo" do you mean somewhere in "Los Cabos" (including San Jose del Cabo), or only "Cabo San Lucas" .. ?

Captn Mike,

Why dont you stay at Marina Sol?? its not a Hotel but they are close to the beach, close to shooping, have a kitchen and jacuzzi, and its very private, and probably under 100$ a day.

Check it out:

thx guys

it needs to be cabo san lucas as i'll be flying in directly there.

Jesse i have stayed at marina Sol in 1986, it was great, i'll check their current rates. back then our 2 BR w/ kitch for 2 couples ran about $60 a nite a couple, or $125 a nite for the unit. I think i see them now about $225 a night which is about same as Los Conchas my fav place in La Paz.

It's not on the beach but....

we loved staying at the Bungalows Breakfast Inn
http://www.cabobungalows.com/
Summer rates are under $100 and include a great breakfast. You're in a neighborhood, above Mi Casa restaurant, with cars, roosters, and dogs but I didn't mind it. Estela is the manager and she'll take care of you. The hot tubs gone but they keep the pool real warm!

where to stay in cabo

try the cabo classifieds paper, which i found on line, but don't have the URL.
i saw apartments for monthly -300 -gringo bucks, somthing a month! why spend a few days in the expensive rooms, when you can stay for a longer time in a rental?
hawaii is less,but no cabo atmosphere...just 'maui-wowie'...

Mike: \How about Club Cabo http://www.mexonline.com/clubcabo.htm.
It's EXTREMELY out-of the-way on a dirt road, but 5 minutes walk from Las Cascadas. Nice Hot tub. No view.

Have a nice vacation!

Sometimes you can get a condo at Misiones del Cabo for a good price if you book early. To me, that place is like a home I would like to replace my home with.

I don't suggest Cabo Inn if you're driving. I had my truck broken into and lost all my camping gear while staying. I asked the owners if it was safe to park there (I could have parked at a friend's house). He insisted. Anyways, he never said much after the break-in. I thought he would have at least reduced my bill. Mar de Cortez is the only place I stay while in Cabo.
(I'll be there in a few weeks!)
