says Campo Rene strip has been closed and X'd off both ends.
anyone know why?

so - is the abreojos pista close by still ok? you used to be able to long taxi between them anyway.

It was open a couple of months ago. The COOP bought Campo Rene but I can't imagine them closing it. It was flooded last month (high tides and wind) maybe that is why. I will check.

Pueblo runway is open, but I doubt you could taxi to Campo Rene now that the road is paved into town. But I would bet that one could get a ride from someone.

thx! i'll carry the message.
if the DGAC fees are not current it can't be legally used. Maybe they don't want to re-license it. Fees can be spendy.
But - they could get landing and parking fees to offset.

We were there a week ago and it appeared open. I drove the length of the strip on the road next to it and saw no barriers or x's.
